Cindy Sue Warner, 56, of Janesville passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy was born in Janesville on September 8, 1957, the daughter of Harry and Phyllis (West) Menz. She graduated in 1975 from Parker High School. Cindy owned and operated Countryside Auto Body for many years. She also was formerly employed by Cargill Feeds, Menard’s, American Family Insurance and courageously kept working at Freedom Graphics throughout her illness. She was an active member of Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 Auxiliary. Cindy was a very generous person who contributed regularly to the Hedberg Public Library, various veterans organizations and children’s homes.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Warner whom she married on April 1, 2013, Also surviving are her son, John (Lea) Discher of Janesville, her father, Harry Menz, three sisters, Bonnie (Nelson) Mowry, Judy (Kevin) Manz, Toni (Jim) Kelly, two step-sons, Jeff and Erik Warner, her step-daughter, Dana Nelson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Diane Warner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Menz who passed away April 22, 2014 as well as her nephew, Jeremy Manz.
“The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Mercy Hospice, especially Tracy and Jenny and also to her loving husband Ken for all of his love and care to Cindy thru her illness.”
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. #1621 Club, 1015 Center Avenue, Janesville. Jean Hoium will preside. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home assisted the family.
